Welcome To ENBC Missions
One of the important assignments God has given us is found in Matthew 28:19-20, which states, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This task of making disciples and teaching them is accomplished at ENBC on several different levels.
Women on Mission
At ENBC we have a very active Women on Mission group which meets the second Tuesday of each month at 10 AM and for various other activities such as craft groups and special events.
WOM is one arm of the Woman’s Missionary Union which challenges Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. For more information, visit http://www.wmu.com
We are called to be a light to the community as well. Our youth routinely participate in local mission activities where they partner with Meals on Wheels, Bridging the Gap, One Roof, Salvation Army, Backstreet Arts and Abby’s Angels to serve our community.
As a Southern Baptist Church, we support The North American Mission Board which embraces the vision that Christ spoke in Acts 1:8 that “…you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” The NAMB is the Southern Baptist entity empowered to assist churches to reach North America for Christ. At ENBC, we directly support NAMB missionaries, Matt and Laura Lawson, who are planting a church in the Burbank area of Los Angeles (http://www.storycitychurch.com). Additionally, our youth group recently went to Charleston, SC to minster to that community.
Again, as a Southern Baptist Church we are part of an incredible sending agency called the International Mission Board. Their goal and our goal when it comes to international missions is evangelizing, disciplining and planting reproducing churches among all peoples in fulfillment of the Great Commission. And, our vision is a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation, knowing and worshiping our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We are proud to be a sending church – a church that has sent out an international missionary from our own congregation. For security reasons, name(s) and photos have been withheld.
Also, please be in prayer for our upcoming medical mission trip to Peru on November 1-10.
